Biography
Eva Wilde is a researcher in music education and music psychology, an educator, and a professional musician. She completed her PhD at the UCL Institute of Education, University College London, UK, and holds an Instrumental Music Education Diploma and a Master of Music in Music Orchestral Performance from the Conservatoire Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, Germany.
Eva participated in several research projects involving assessments and evaluations of various music education programmes in the UK. She has presented at national and international music education conferences and published in academic journals. She also regularly acts as a reviewer for academic journals. Eva is a recipient of the Steve Dillon Award for Early Career Researchers, which was presented to her by the International Society for Music Education (ISME) Committee.
As a professional violinist, Eva has performed nationally and internationally. In addition, she has worked as an instrumental teacher (violin, viola and piano) in various settings for more than twenty years. In this framework, she has taught various target groups, i.e., neuro-typical individuals and those with special educational needs and disabilities, students with various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as older people. Furthermore, she has worked as an artistic supervisor and teacher for various youth orchestras and a non-profit organization for family and adult further education.
