Biography
Dr Luke Aldridge-Waddon (he/him) is a Clinical Psychologist working within the NHS and in independent practice. His clinical and research interests focus on psychological features in clinical health groups. He has a special interest in psychological perspectives in vocal health and voice care, and he is a recipient of prizes from the British Voice Association (Van Lawrence Prize, 2023) and Dysphonia International (Travel Award) in recognition of his research on clinical psychology and voice disorders. Luke completed his clinical training (DClinPsy) at University of Oxford and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. He has a PhD in Psychology from Brunel University London, supervised by Professor Veena Kumari. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist. He is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) as listed with the British Psychological Society and is an accredited Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). He is a registered practitioner with the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM). He currently also holds an Honorary Research Fellow position at Brunel University London.
