Oliver Frischknecht is a Swiss singer, speech and language therapist and vocal coach. He received his artistic training at 'Joop van den Ende Academy' in Hamburg and at 'London School of Musical Theatre'.
To date, he has performed in over 30 professional stage productions - including leading roles as the 'Master of Ceremonies (M.C.)' in Cabaret (Leipzig), as 'Roger' in Rent (Hamburg), as 'Berger' in Hair (Jagsthausen), as 'John Lennon' in With a little help (Pforzheim), as 'Sepp' in Gotthelf - the Musical (Thun), and as 'Daneli' in Ewigi Liebi (Zurich).
He has worked with almost all of the renowned directors of German-speaking musicals, including Stefan Huber, Josef E. Köpplinger, Andreas Gergen, Gil Mehmert, Wolf Widder, Nico Rabenald, and Helga Wolf.
In addition to his commitments as a singer he works as a Vocal Rehabilitation Coach at SingStimmZentrum Zürich (SSZZ) under the direction of Dr. med. Salome Zwicky and at the Refluxzentrum at Spital Limmattal under the direction of Prof. Dr. Urs Zingg.
His bestselling book 'RESET YOUR VOICE' on the vocal rehabilitation of professional singers with functional voice disorders was published in March 2022 at ProLog in Cologne and Zurich.
