Dr. Sofia Holmqvist-Jämsén is a Speech-Language Pathologist and university lecturer at the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the Medical Faculty of the University of Helsinki, Finland. She is also a postdoctoral researcher, having earned her PhD in the area of stress and voice, with a particular focus on genetic and hormonal effects.

Her research includes publications on voice ergonomic risk factors, the vocal health of teachers, and screening methods for identifying voice problems. Dr. Holmqvist-Jämsén's work is recognized for its practical applications in preventing and managing voice disorders across various professional domains. Through her roles in teaching, supervision and research, she continues to advance the field of vocal health, providing both academic contributions and practical solutions for voice care.

She is active in both Finnish and international associations maintaining and developing new networks for collaboration and research.
