A Belgian, London based, awarded medical doctor with special interest in voice and integration of art into healthcare. His mission is to use multi plural co - creativity and bring positive attention towards small and scattered groups (overlooked) in medicine, research and society. The spectacular variety in his projects goes from a voiceless choir singing with a choir of trees that survived the nuclear bombs in Japan to Belgian chocolates designed for the taste and swallow after head and cancer treatment.

He is founder and (choir) director of Shout at Cancer (charity dedicated to the implementation of music in speech rehabilitation and choral singing after laryngectomy), Co-founder and co­ director of Sound Voice (community company specialised in implementing arts to impact healthcare related research and development), and founding board member of The Listening  Planet Foundation (world's biggest nature sound database used for nature conservation and preservation projects).

FILM Can you hear my voice? (87 min) Feb 2020 Bill Brummel is an award-winning documentary producer/director. He has been recognized with a Peabody Award, a primetime Emmy nomination, several National News and Documentary Emmy nominations, and two International Documentary Association awards. After having his voice box removed in 2016, Brummel produced and directed "Can You Hear My Voice?". The film chronicles London's Shout at Cancer choir, led by Dr Thomas Moors, whose singers are also living without voice boxes.

Laryngectomy is the surgical removal of the voice box, a life changing operation mostly indicated by throat cancer. The post-operative anatomical changes affect voice, swallow, smell and taste. As a result up to 30% of the affected population suffer from anxiety, depression and/or social isolation.
