Elissa Maas Weinzimmer is an award-winning vocal health educator, presence coach, and the founder of Voice Body Connection. After suddenly losing her own voice aged 21, Elissa began studying the mechanics of voice. Over time, she developed a unique, concrete approach that empowers performers, leaders and speakers to optimise their voices and share them more authentically.

Voice Body Connection programming includes courses in vocal health, presentation skills, and authentic speaking. The upcoming round of the Voice Body Connection Instructor Program begins in August 2024, and fellow Official Voice Body Connection Instructors teach alongside Elissa in the Voice Body Connection community.

Elissa's clients include Broadway stars, television personalities, politicians, and CEOs. She has led trainings for WeWork, Equinox, Microsoft, eBay, Instacart, and Kajabi, and has been featured in Thrive Global, Healthline, SheKnows, and Adweek.

Elissa earned her MFA in Theatre Voice Pedagogy from the University of Alberta. She is certified in Body-Mind Centering®, Fitzmaurice Voicework®, and Hatha yoga (200 hours).

Elissa corners the 'hippie witch' genre in her singer-songwriting, meditates daily, and is a proud dog parent. She is based in the Hudson Valley of New York.

Body-Mind Centering® for the Voice Professional

Elissa Weinzimmer

Body-Mind Centering® (BMC®) is an integrated and embodied approach to movement, the body, and consciousness. This workshop explores two primary pieces of the Body-Mind Centering® approach: developmental movement patterns and the fluid system. Delving into each, we’ll learn tools for re-patterning movement and voice, and exploring ease and flow when sounding.
