Lecturer Sophie Scott headed to New York to work on a Brechtian musical cabaret!

Monday 24th April 2023

Voice Study Centre Lecturer Sophie Scott headed to New York City this week to work on a Brechtian musical cabaret.

'Risk! A Climate Cabaret' takes a light-hearted but poignant look at climate change and financial risk. By commissioning artists to create work about climate change and perform it live, the event brought people together, sparked conversations, and brought new audiences to the climate movement.

Performed by UK-based ensemble Live Canon and volunteer scholars, the event is co-hosted by Canada Climate Law Initiative | L'initiative canadienne de droit climatique, Live Canon, Allard School of Law, St John's University School of Law and the Center For Urban Environmental Reform.
