Wednesday 6th March 2024

We are thrilled to announce that Voice Study Centre Lecturer Pippa Anderson will be co-authoring a chapter with Leda Scearce for The Oxford Handbook of Voice Pedagogy, which is due to be published by Oxford University Press (OUP) in 2026.

The forthcoming chapter, titled Cross-disciplinary training for singing voice rehabilitation, will explore interdisciplinary voice care in the UK/USA, its history and the roles and responsibilities involved, as well as the following topics and more:

  • How the rest of the world fits into the UK/USA model
  • Considerations for vocal health team dynamics
  • The importance of the singing teacher as the front line for vocal health
  • The knowledge base and skillset for singing voice rehabilitation
  • Training programmes: existing and aspirational
  • The reality of the current landscape for training paths

Congratulations, Pippa!
