MA Professional Practice (Voice Pedagogy)
The MA Professional Practice programme is home to three flexible pathways as shown below.
All three pathways culminate with an MA Professional Practice Voice Pedagogy certificate.
It is possible to move between the pathways to suit your needs.
All our courses are fully online and available to study internationally.
Fully Online MA Professional Practice Voice Pedagogy
Our fully online open pathway enables singing teachers, choral directors, instrumental teachers, and speech and language therapists/pathologists to apply theory to practice within the broad field of voice.
MA Voice Pedagogy - Specialising in Singing for Health and Wellbeing
This course provides an academic pathway to facilitate the study and research of Singing for Health. Students will be at the forefront of innovation in this programme, engaging in Master's level practitioner research focused on Singing for Health and Wellbeing, culminating in a Voice Pedagogy MA.
MA Voice Pedagogy - Specialising in Performance Coaching
Our MA Voice Pedagogy: Specialising in Performance Coaching is a unique pathway aimed at musicians, dancers, singing teachers, voice coaches, and actors who wish to develop a career in performance coaching. We have tailored content, designed to explore the core issues in Performance Coaching.
Foundation Course Programme
The Foundation course programme is for professional singers/teachers who have not undertaken a formal degree. The cost is deducted from the fees if you then continue on to the full MA. We work alongside you to improve your academic skills, such as academic research, writing, and keeping to a tight deadline. This initiative forms part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme and aims to mitigate education inequality within our industry.
Trauma-Informed Voice Professional
Our Trauma-Informed Practitioner course is for voice practitioners who are looking to gain an understanding of trauma and how it can influence the choices we make in our working environment. In association with Dr. Elisa Monti, a leading specialist on Voice and Trauma, you will explore a wide range of research and develop a trauma sensitive practice.
Certificate In Vocal Pedagogy, The ‘What, Why And How’ Of Vocal Pedagogy with Voice Scientist Kerrie Obert
While this course does deliver the most up-to-date information available, it is Kerrie's greater hope that you leave with a better sense of how to analyse new information and changing processes so that when changes come (whether they be in the form of new styles of singing or new scientific information)—and they will come, that you will remain relevant in changing world.
