About The Scheme
Raising funds for Practitioner Research
We are an independent research organisation (IRO) specialising in practitioner research within the field of voice, music and performance. We provide access to an independent ethics committee and facilitate workshops on voice related areas and research methodology.
This page allows you to donate to our Research and Development Fund, allowing practitioners to apply for funded research projects facilitated by Voice Study Centre, in the following ways:
- Engage in independent research and submit to our independent ethics committee.
- Work within a supported independent researcher environment to:
- Produce independent outputs
- Publish
- Present at conferences
- Potentially work towards a PhD by Publication
- Work with a supervisor
- Attend our research methods workshops
How It Works
We'll be raising funds over the next few months via a variety of free-to-attend events and live symposia, starting with a series of 'meet the author' sessions.
Our first event is an exclusive Meet the Author session with Christina Shewell and Rockford Sansom, the brilliant minds behind the acclaimed book "Voice Work: Art and Science in Changing Voices". This is a unique opportunity to engage with the authors, gain insights into their latest research, and explore the fascinating world of voice work.
