Madalina Gheza is a singer and singing teacher based in Liverpool. She is a lead singer in the funk band The Soul Rays. She has performed with The Soul Rays supporting artists such as Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Sugarhill Gang and Gabrielle, amongst many others.
Her passion for singing brought her over to the UK from Romania in 2012. She completed a BA(hons) in Popular Music Performance at the University of Chester. Madalina’s interest in singing teaching grew over time and she obtained a certificate from BAST (become a singing teacher) in 2015. She has been teaching as a peripatetic singing teacher since and in 2020 she began her MA Vocal Pedagogy degree with Voice Study Centre.
Currently, Madalina is a VSC MA student researching voice registers. Her interests in voice science include acoustics, CCM belt, and posture. Madalina is the owner of a singing teaching studio where she offers 1 - 2 - 1 tuition to students of all ages and abilities.
