Zachary Wright is an alum of Voice Study Centre, having completed his MA in 2024. His research focused on motivations influencing adults to participate in volunteer choirs. Zachary has 14 years of teaching experience, having taught in public and independent schools in Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. He is currently the Middle and Upper School Choral Director at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also serves as Chapel Organist and Music Director for musical theatre productions.
Zachary has worked as a Music Director for over 50 musical theatre productions, primarily in educational theatre settings. Zachary is passionate about training young singers in musical theatre styles. He has former students who have performed in Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national touring productions.
In addition to teaching, Zachary has extensive experience as a church musician. He is currently the Director of Music at Virginia-Highland Church (UCC) in Atlanta, Georgia, where he serves as choir director and organist/pianist. In his role at Virginia-Highland Church, Zachary founded an intergenerational Justice Choir, reflecting his passion of building community through choral singing.
