Helen began her artistic journey as a dancer before moving her focus to singing while studying musical theatre at Laine Theatre Arts. She subsequently toured the world as both a singer and a dancer. Helen holds an MA in Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Her academic research explored the physical and psychological demands placed on singing dancers, as well as the challenges associated with maladaptive perfectionism among performers. This specialised focus continues to inform her teaching practice and professional interests.
As a freelance singing teacher and vocal coach, she has taught in the United Kingdom and Italy at primary, secondary and tertiary level and currently works at private dance schools, ElliTe Studios College, and Huddersfield University where she shares her expertise in vocal technique and performance. Helen is also a musical theatre and dance examiner for StageSchool (RSL), helping elevate students of all levels. She is a dedicated musical theatre multi-disciplinary specialist, known for her empathy, commitment and experience.
