Dr David Juncos Book Publication: ACT For Musicians

Voice Study Centre guest lecturer,  Dr David Juncos, has co-authored a book alongside Elvire de Paiva e Pona.

ACT is an evidence-based psychotherapy that aims to promote mindfulness and acceptance, it has the ability to assist in enhancing performance and health.

It can be used to effectively to treat MPA (Music Performance Anxiety).

ACT can be used in a non-clinical setting by practitioners other than psychotherapists, and when applied non-clinically it is called Acceptance and Commitment Training or Coaching.

ACT For Musicians is available from June 2021.

David Juncos, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist, lecturer, performance coach, author, and music performance researcher based in Philadelphia, PA. He has 20 years of experience in treating a variety of clinical problems, including anxiety, mood, and substance use disorders.
