POV: You Just Completed Your MA Voice Pedagogy

Friday 12th December 2025

That feeling when you finally complete your MA Voice Pedagogy… ✨

We’ve rounded up some of our favourite reactions our students shared on social media as they received their final results. Pure joy incoming.

"I did it!!

I’m not sure how… but I now officially have a MASTERS in vocal pedagogy with a distinction!!

This was a massive goal and I’m so proud.

For the little girl who didn’t get to go to university but always wanted to, and to everyone that thinks “one day” they will go back and hit their goals I say….

You can do whatever you set your mind to.

I’ve loved the entire process and it has made my thirst to develop and learn even stronger.

Now, if anyone wants some vocal lessons (from someone who has worked damned hard with a MASTERS at a distinction level), that truly knows their stuff drop me a line!!

Also there’s no chest voice and head voice (I think I say this every single day and I wrote a paper on it) 😂😂😂😂
@voicestudycentre and everyone that supported me including my amazing little Sutton choir who also took part in one of my studies - a heartfelt thanks ❤️❤️

Onwards….."

"I’VE OFFICIALLY GOT A MASTERS IN VOCAL PEDAGOGY… WITH DISTINCTION!! 🎉🎉🎉

Wow. I can’t quite believe it. Don’t ask me how I did it… 😂 Through pregnancy, with a new born, mum of 2, all while working & running my own vocal studios. I’m normally my harshest critic, but GO ME!! I’m SO proud!!

Thank you to everyone who supported me through it, whether that was my mental breakdowns, panic attacks, or simply asking how I was getting on. I’m so grateful for you.

📩 Want lessons from a singing teacher with a MASTERS in how to teach voice (with a Distinction btw??!!!) Drop me a message…"

"After 3 years of hard work, I’ve officially completed my Master of Arts - Professional Practice (Voice Pedagogy) today. It has been one of the most valuable experiences of my life. I have had some of the most wonderful supervisors and the care and attention that the Voice Study Centre (and UWTSD) pour into their student’s is exceptional.

My research has centred on the benefits of singing for well-being, specifically for those with post-traumatic stress disorder. I am in the process of seeking publication for my work but look forward to sharing some insight on this platform and a new website starting in January 2026.

The process of singing and learning has also helped heal from my own challenges with PTSD and has enlightened my understanding of how I may best help others.

I am most grateful to Debbie Winter, Tracy Theobald, Kerrie Obert, Sophie Scott, Joshua Lee-Cummins and David Cane who supported me throughout this season.

Thank you all so much.❤️

Onto PhD🤞I have to beat my husband… 😂

Ps. Thanks also to @auroramusic whose last two albums were on repeat as I pushed through the final draft of my 6 research papers. 🙏🏻"
