Wednesday 12th June 2024

If you're thinking about starting our new two-year Master's Degree Voice Pedagogy but have no or little academic experience, don't let that hold you back.

At Voice Study Centre, our mission is to empower a diverse voice community by removing barriers to practitioner development, research and pedagogical excellence.

The Introduction to Postgraduate Academic Skills course is a key part of our strategy for inclusivity and provides a pathway to the full MA for those professionals who would otherwise be ineligible to apply. We offer a course that will build your academic skills, so that you feel more confident undertaking your MA.

8 Key Takeaways:

  1. The course is open to everybody!

  2. Certificated in its own right, regardless of whether you continue to the full MA (ITOL Accredited).

  3. Three-month duration (although it is possible to complete the course sooner).

  4. Ideal for those seeking to bridge the gap between undergraduate and postgraduate study.

  5. We will introduce you to the advanced academic skills required at Master's level, allowing you to build up your knowledge of academic reading, researching, referencing and writing as you proceed.

  6. Upon successful completion, you’re guaranteed a place on the full MA course.

  7. You will also receive an official ITOL-accredited certificate entitled ‘Introduction to Postgraduate Academic Skills’.

  8. The cost of the course is deducted from the fees for the full MA, should you continue to the full MA.
