An Introduction to VoceVista

If you want to use VoceVista software (https://www.sygyt.com/en/products/) but are struggling with how to get started, this introductory session will get you oriented and ready to go!
We will cover how to use the programme to visualise various aspects of the singing voice in real time. We will listen to sound samples and explore how to how to analyse lesson, rehearsal, practice, or performance recordings.
This will be a judgment-free zone; I am looking forward to answering all your burning VoceVista how-to questions from a studio teacher’s perspective. I aim to move you from tech-hesitant to tech-enthusiastic before you jump into any additional acoustics scaffolding concepts.

Perceptual motor learning (PML) theory is characterised by the convergence of perception and action. PML focuses on how we teach, not what we teach, in order to optimise learning and ultimately, performance! This short course will outline strategies for teaching and coaching with both long- and short-term goals in mind. These strategies have been adapted for the voice from motor learning theory and the Alexander Technique.
