Antoine Henrotin (he/they) is a Belgian Speech‑Language Therapist (SLT) specializing in voice therapy and gender studies (care ethics, queer and trans studies), and is also a singer. They have been pursuing a Ph.D. in gender‑affirming voice care since February 2026.
Drawing on community‑based participatory research and the medical humanities, Antoine’s work seeks to enhance vocal agency by developing an ethical and operationalized framework that centers students’ and patients’ goals rather than imposing gendered vocal representations from the therapist’s or teacher’s perspective.
Antoine also works clinically with trans and gender‑diverse people, singers across genres, individuals with voice disorders, and professional voice users such as public speakers. They contribute to teaching in the voice therapy program at the University of Liège (ULiège) and in the French‑speaking Belgian gender studies curriculum, and they provide professional training for SLTs in gender‑affirming voice care.
