Claire Cannon

Claire Cannon is a UK-based singer and vocal coach with over a decade of experience, working in further education with aspiring musical theatre performers while also coaching professional singers in her private studio.

A graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), she holds a Diploma in Song and a Degree in Performing Arts (Music). She has further developed her practice through Certification in Contemporary Vocal Coaching, training in counselling skills, and accreditation as a Vocology in Practice (ViP) Authorized Instructor. She completed her MA at Voice Study Centre, where her research focused on evidence-based approaches to occupational sustainability in performers.

Her current interests include identity formation in performers, particularly its impact on burnout vulnerability in early musical theatre training, alongside the development of training models that better reflect industry demands. Her work aims to contribute to more sustainable, health-informed approaches to musical theatre training and performance.
