From Halifax, Nova Scotia, Elsa has performed and taught across four continents, including in countries such as Ireland, Brazil, and Kenya. She has performed with Broadway stars including Kristen Chenoweth and Kelli O’Hara as well as Grammy Award–winning artists such as Gladys Knight. She is a Master of Vocal Pedagogy candidate at the University of Essex. Elsa is currently the Artistic Director of Musical Theatre at the Scotia Suzuki School of Music and a trained vocal instructor through New York Vocal Coaching in New York City. She recently designed the high school accredited curriculum for both the Pre-Professional and Professional Musical Theatre Certificate programs at the SSSM this past year and presents workshops to professional and developing artists year round. With a strong background in dance she holds a Professional Dance Diploma and has completed her RAD Advanced Ballet Exams, with training at the National Ballet School of Canada, Boston Ballet, and Ballet West. Together with her acting, dance and vocal background Elsa teaches the “whole performer” and has a unique gift for developing the confident artists. She is currently playing Ariel in The Little Mermaid: The Musical and is deeply passionate about both performing and teaching.
