Rebeca is a Voice Teacher at the National University of Costa Rica, where she has been on faculty since 2006. She holds a Licentiature (In Latin America, is a grade between a bachelor's and master's degree) in Voice Teaching and Performance, a Master's in Singing, a Master's in University Pedagogy, a Licentiature in Speech-Language Pathology, a Diploma in Vocology, and a Diploma in Neuroeducation, complemented by additional courses and training in voice pedagogy and voice rehabilitation.
She was a member of the Young Artist Program of the National Lyric Company of Costa Rica. She has served as a member of the young singers ensemble Opera Nova and as music director of the vocal ensemble Voce Viva and has performed as a soloist in opera productions.
Rebeca is a member of the The Voice Foundation (TVF) and the Pan-American Vocology Association (PAVA), and holds recognition as a Vocologist (PAVA-RV). She has presented her research as a speaker at international conferences and symposia and has several publications in peer-reviewed Spanish-language journals.
