Author, mentor, teacher, and presenter Dana Lentini helps teachers understand the distinct considerations involved in teaching singing to children while building thriving, sustainable studios. She is the founder of Born 2 Sing Kids, a voice program that empowers young singers to develop healthy vocal technique through a clear, systematic approach.

Specializing in the developing singer, Dana advocates for age-appropriate vocal training and dispels persistent myths about children’s voices. She is a frequent presenter for professional organizations, including the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), the Institute for Vocal Advancement, universities across the United States, and The MIX Singer’s Association in Poland. She has also been featured on numerous podcasts worldwide, sharing her expertise in pediatric vocal pedagogy and studio development.

Dana is the recipient of the NATS Joan Frey Boytim Award for Independent Teachers. Her work is published through Hal Leonard in Teaching the Child Singer: Pediatric Pedagogy for Ages 5–13 and Singing Kids’ Songbook, where she shares practical strategies and a spiral approach to repertoire development for young singers.

Join Dana Lentini as she explores practical and pedagogical strategies for designing and teaching successful group singing classes for children. Drawing on principles of pediatric vocal pedagogy and classroom teaching practice, participants will learn how to structure classes that balance vocal development, musicianship, and creative engagement. Particular attention will be given to a five-stage teaching framework that progresses from mind–body awareness and breath coordination through musicianship, vocal technique, and repertoire study.
