Scottish soprano, Lauren McQuistin, completed her undergraduate studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland before moving to America to pursue a Master of Music under the tutelage of Carol Vaness at Indiana University. There she was the district winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions in St Louis, Seattle and Nashville.

Prior to studying at the Yale School of Music, she performed in Italy then continued her opera, concert and competition career in the USA, where she was a studio artist at Central City Opera. Ms McQuistin was the recipient of the Phyllis Curtin Career Entry Prize.

During her time at Indiana University she was published Journal of Singing for her research on the subject of trauma’s impact on the voice, work she continued at Yale University with a psychologist to create her trauma informed pedagogy.

Today she teaches this work in London, and her first book about sobriety and recovery, no lost causes club, will be published in July 2025.
