As oracy increasingly gains prominence within UK education, many professional development programmes focus on pupil talk, classroom discussion structures, and curriculum design. However, a fundamental question often remains unanswered:

This session explores how the voice works and introduces practical strategies to improve efficiency, stamina, and confidence. Topics Include:
Practical task: Try out some embodied voice strategies to support clarity and projection. Homework task: Monitor your vocal health with a reflective diary across the week. |

Storytelling, Explanation and Engagement Outstanding teachers do more than deliver information; they communicate ideas in ways that create understanding and curiosity. This session explores communication techniques that make teaching memorable and engaging. Topics Include:
In-session Practical task: Using a sample of text, work with practical strategies to build vocal storytelling and persuasive vocal communication Homework task: Choose a piece of writing that you need to communicate in the course of the week. Implement some of your learned strategies and reflect on your experiences. |

Facilitating Dialogue and Developing Classroom Oracy This session focuses on practical approaches that support pupils to think, question, discuss and communicate effectively. Participants will explore the teacher's role in creating rich environments for spoken communication. Topics Include:

Communication Coaching for Teachers Participants will analyse their own communication practice and identify opportunities for growth. This highly practical session encourages self-awareness and professional development through guided reflection. Topics Include:
