World Mental Health Day 2023

Tuesday 10th October 2023

Today is World Mental Health Day; the theme this year is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.

Mental health is a crucial aspect of one's overall well-being and quality of life. Unfortunately, mental health issues are still often stigmatised and many people feel ashamed or embarrassed to seek help.

World Mental Health Day serves as a reminder that everyone deserves access to mental health resources and support.

This year's theme emphasises the importance of recognising mental health as a fundamental aspect of human dignity and ensuring everyone has access to the care they need.

By raising awareness and promoting understanding, we can work towards creating a world where mental health is treated with the same importance and respect as physical health.

Let us all do our part in advocating for mental health as a human right and breaking down the barriers that prevent people from getting the help they need.

Please visit https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/ for information and support.
