MA Voice Pedagogy alumna Gökçe Kutsal to present at ISPS 2023

International Symposium on Performance Science 2023

It gives us great pleasure to announce that recent MA Voice Pedagogy graduate Gökçe Kutsal has been chosen to present a paper at the biennial International Symposium on Performance Science (ISPS) 2023, which will be hosted by the Medical University of Warsaw and the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Poland from 17th-20th August.

The theme for 2023 – ‘Performance Care and Careers’ – is intended to encourage discussion and debate on connections between performance, wellbeing and society. Gökçe’s paper is titled Acoustic Spectrogram for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) as a Music Performance Anxiety (MPA) Management Method for Professional Singers and aims to evaluate the effectiveness of ACT for management of MPA using acoustic spectrogram and Praat software.
