VSC Ambassador Kate Cubley presents at COP28 conference in Dubai

We are delighted to report that VSC Ambassador and associate lecturer Kate Cubley has recently presented her PhD research at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (more commonly referred to as COP28), which was held between 30th November and 12th December at Expo City, Dubai (UAE).

Representing De Montfort University Leicester (DMU), Kate delivered various presentations under the title of ‘The hidden impact of climate change on communication'. Together, they built awareness of environmental irritants that affect respiration; provided tips for maintaining voice health in a dry climate; introduced conscious breathing strategies to maintain physical and mental health, including climate anxiety; and showcased the impact of climate change on communication.
